Winter Wellness: Staying Active During Cold Weather

WARSAW — Community members are invited to an educational session about winter wellness featuring Exercise Physiologist Libby Brown from the LKH Health and Wellness Center. This session will take place on Thursday, Nov. 14 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital administrative classroom located at 2101 E. DuBois Drive.
A single session of moderate to vigorous physical activity provides immediate benefits for health such as better sleep, less anxiety and can lead to lower blood pressure. Even better, a healthy regiment of regular physical activity provides important health benefits for chronic disease prevention such as reducing the risks of dementia, heart disease and cancer.
This is an interactive lecture and demonstration. Wear comfortable clothes and sneakers to participate. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
