Staff Report
NORTH WEBSTER — Two people from North Webster were recently arrested after a domestic incident.
Landon Lee Cox, 24; and Mikayla Kathleen Schram, 24, both of 413 E. Epworth Forest Road, North Webster, are each charged with domestic battery committed in the presence of a child, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Oct. 12, a North Webster Police officer responded to a report of a fight at a residence. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer saw Schram in a driveway.
Schram said she and Cox had a verbal argument, which escalated when Cox grabbed her cellphone and threw it against a wall. Cox then allegedly threw Schram’s phone outside.
According to court documents, Schram also said Cox threw a water bottle at her face.
Cox told the officer he only threw water on Schram and that Schram threw a pill bottle and plastic hair clip at his head. He admitted to throwing Schram’s cellphone.
A child was present in the residence during the incident.
Cox was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Nov. 1. Schram was booked in KCJ on Nov. 2.
