Two Women Face Drug Charges After Officers Serve Warrant At Warsaw Residence

WARSAW — Two local women face drug charges after law enforcement served a search warrant at a Warsaw residence.
Erica Jill Weisser, 42, 228 N. Fort Wayne Ave., Warsaw, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of a legend drug, and maintaining a common nuisance, all level 6 felonies; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
Lindsay Raye Housman, 37, 11194 N. Honeycomb Lane, Cromwell, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a syringe, and maintaining a common nuisance, all level 6 felonies.
On April 11, Warsaw Police officers served a search warrant at a residence. Upon entering the home, officers saw Weisser and Housman.
According to court documents, upon searching Weisser’s room, officers found drug paraphernalia, meth residue, and pills identified as schedule II narcotic drugs and legend drugs. Weisser did not have a valid prescription for the drugs.
Weisser admitted to using meth and said she had people over at her home on a regular basis who possess and sell meth.
Upon searching Housman’s purse, officers found an eyeglass case containing syringes and a plastic bag containing meth residue. Housman said she found the eyeglass case the day prior and placed it in her purse. She admitted to using meth and that she saw meth in the residence within the last day or two.
Weisser was previously convicted of meth possession in Kosciusko County in July 2021.
Housman has prior convictions for meth possession, failure to appear, unlawful possession of a syringe, dealing meth, and possessing paraphernalia.
Weisser was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Nov. 2. A warrant was issued for Housman’s arrest on Oct. 17.
