On Sept. 18, a Warsaw Police officer saw a vehicle without a functioning license plate light and pulled it over. Responding officers identified the vehicle’s driver as Michael A. Jordan and passengers as Jessica L. Hughes and Anderson.
According to court documents, Jordan told officers they were driving back to LaGrange from a Warsaw hotel after dropping off a friend. During contact with Jordan, one of the officers noticed Jordan attempting to reach into his pocket.
A K9 unit at the scene alerted to narcotics inside the vehicle.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers found 16.3 grams of meth, drug paraphernalia, and multiple plastic bags and syringes. Backpacks containing meth, syringes, and drug paraphernalia were also found in the vehicle.
Anderson said the bags in the vehicle belonged to her, but said there was nothing illegal in the bags. She admitted to using illegal drugs a few days prior to the traffic stop.
Anderson was previously convicted of meth possession in Noble County in August.
Anderson has a status conference at 10 a.m. Nov. 25, in Kosciusko Circuit Court. Hughes has a pretrial conference at 3 p.m. Nov. 18, and Jordan has a pretrial conference at 3 p.m. Dec. 2.
