Silver Lake Council Approves Little Over $1M Budget For 2025

SILVER LAKE — Silver Lake is planning on a little more than $1 million budget for 2025.
The Silver Lake Town Council adopted the budget at a special meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Silver Lake Town Hall. That followed a public hearing at its last regular meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
The 2025 budget stands at $1,001,800. That breaks down to: $1,500 in the rainy day fund; $638,500 in the general fund; $7,000 in the local road and street fund; $172,100 in the motor vehicle highway fund; $17,600 in the park and recreation fund; $1,600 in the cumulative capital improvement fund from cigarette tax; $13,000 in the cumulative capital development fund; $140,500 in county economic development income tax (CEDIT); $3,400 for law enforcement continuing education and $6,600 in the police donation fund.
