David Hoover — UPDATED
David Hoover, age 67, of Milford, passed away surrounded by his family when he went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024. He was born on May 18, 1957, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Raymond and Nona (Kuhn) Hoover. David graduated from Calvert High School. He also went on to attend Eastern Michigan College where he would play college football. He would then meet Randa Zink and eventually marry on Sept. 23, 1983.
David enjoyed his job as a truck driver, delivering products for the RV industry. A man of faith, David held a deep love for the Lord, attending Glory Church with an open heart and spirit. His faith guided his life and was a source of strength for him and his family.
David was deeply devoted to his family, particularly enjoying the role of grandfather. He exemplified qualities of generosity and love, always putting his family’s needs first and expressing immense joy in the company of his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching many sports but especially baseball and football.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Randa Hoover, of Milford; his children, Daniel (Rachel) Hoover, of Indianapolis, Stephen (Tatum) Hoover, of Cibolo, Texas, and Krista Taylor and Joshua Hoover, both of Milford; and several grandchildren, including Deliah, Adalia, Abraham, Jed, Ivah, Ezekiel and Walela; and step-grandchildren, Beau, Hunter, Olivia and Rowynn; and his siblings, Wayne (Sara) Wax, Margaret Phelps, Stephen (Kayleen) Hoover and Eugene Hoover.
David was also preceded in death by his son, Bradley Hoover, and his loving parents, Raymond and Nona Hoover, and siblings Dennis Hoover, Alice Daugherty and Nancy Weininger.
Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, is entrusted with caring for David and his family. A Life Celebration visitation will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, in the funeral home, followed by a funeral service starting at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Marc Stutzman officiating. Burial will immediately follow to Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Milford.
