Cromwell Man Arrested For Resisting Arrest, Possessing Meth

CROMWELL — A Cromwell man was arrested after allegedly resisting arrest and possessing drugs.
Michael James Moore, 40, 9340 E. Crooked Mile Road, Cromwell, is charged with resisting law enforcement resulting in bodily injury and possession of methamphetamine, both level 6 felonies; and intimidation, a class A misdemeanor.
On Oct. 7, officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and North Webster Police Department responded to a citizens assist in Cromwell. Upon arrival, officers saw Moore sitting in a vehicle.
According to court documents, Moore yelled at one of the officers and threatened to pepper spray him. Moore then allegedly pulled out some type of handheld weapon and punched it toward the officer.
While attempting to remove Moore from the vehicle, Moore pulled himself away from officers and refused to exit the vehicle. As all of the officers removed Moore from the vehicle, one of the officers fell backward and scraped his elbow.
Upon searching Moore’s person, officers found a bag containing meth.
Moore was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Oct. 7.
