Plymouth Helicopter Crash Under Investigation

PLYMOUTH — A helicopter crashed in Marshall County on Friday, Oct. 11.
​At 4:55 p.m., the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call in reference to a helicopter crash in a corn field near the 11000 block of 7B Road. ​Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and Plymouth Fire/EMS responded to the scene and located the pilot and passenger. ​
Both occupants ​sustained minor injuries. ​
The preliminary cause of the aircraft crash ​is believed to be mechanical failure. ​
The National Traffic Safety Board and Federal Aviation ​Administration are still investigating this incident. ​​
Agencies involved included Marshall County Sheriff’s Department,​ Plymouth Fire/EMS,​ National Traffic Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration. ​
