North Webster Elementary School Honored At IDOE Celebration

SYRACUSE — Wawasee Community School Corporation is proud to announce North Webster Elementary School was honored at the Literacy Achievement Celebration at the State House, Indianapolis, for achieving an outstanding 100% pass rate on the IREAD Assessment last spring.
This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the school’s students and staff.
NWES Principal Lee Snider, along with staff members Lora Bieghler, Shellie Miller and Susan Haessig, represented the school at the celebration. Their commitment to fostering a learning environment rooted in the Professional Learning Communities framework and the science of Reading has made a difference in the academic growth of the students. The school’s tiered approach to reading instruction ensures all students are given the support needed to reach their highest potential.
This success is not limited to North Webster Elementary. Across the entire school corporation, IREAD scores increased to a 90.5%. This achievement reflects the collective effort of teachers, administrators and students throughout the district.
Superintendent Steve Troyer expressed his pride in the district’s progress. “We are thrilled to see the hard work of our teachers and students come to fruition. Our focus on Professional Learning Communities and the Science of Reading has been a game changer, and we are proud of the impact it’s having on our students’ success.”
