Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 6:56 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, South Main Street, south of West Channel Road, North Webster. Driver: Douglas J. Teusch, 56, North CR 300W, Huntington. Teusch swerved due to an animal in the roadway, with his vehicle ending up in a ditch. Damage up to $2,500.
- 6:47 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, North CR 300E, at the intersection of East CR 900N, Syracuse. Drivers: Elizabeth Grajales Rodriguez, 39, North Nappanee Street, Nappanee; and Joshua D. Hill, 44, East Camp Mack Road, Milford. Grajales Rodriguez said she didn’t see Hill’s vehicle. The two vehicles collided. Hill complained of chest pain, but refused EMS. Damage up to $25,000.
- 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, East US 30, at the intersection of East Van Ness Road, Pierceton. Drivers: Alex J. Valentine, 63, East Van Ness Road, Pierceton; and Brian K. Essary, 48, East CR 250N, Rolling Prairie. Valentine didn’t see Essary’s vehicle. His vehicle collided with Essary’s. Damage up to $25,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 4:57 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, East Woodland Acres, Syracuse. Drivers: Kelsie Hopkins, 29, East Woodland Drive, Syracuse; and Samantha Stookey, 47, North Woodland Acres, Syracuse. Hopkin’s vehicle struck the back side of Stookey’s vehicle after attempting to exit a driveway.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 6:54 a.m. Oct. 1, West SR 110 and North 700W, Culver. Driver: Melissa D. Hamilton, 53, Rochester. Hit deer.
