Wawasee homecoming parade delivers smiles and candy

Addison Beasley and Cooper Garden are the new homecoming queen and king at Wawasee High School.

The sound of the Wawasee fight song could be heard throughout Syracuse Friday, Sept. 27, in the Wawasee homecoming parade. The Wawasee Marching Warrior Pride got the party started traveling west on Chicago Street.
The Wawasee homecoming queen and king candidates followed. Also in the parade were student organizations such as the upcoming production of “Annie” at the high school and multiple sports teams in their fall season. All floats passed out candy to spectators.
Senior Addison Beasley would be crowned homecoming queen and homecoming king was awarded to senior Cooper Garden. The two were crowned at the halftime ceremony during Wawasee’s 36-7 win over Goshen.
