WINONA LAKE — Rick Swaim has submitted a letter of resignation to the Winona Lake Town Council on Tuesday, Oct. 1, effective immediately.
“It’s time,” said Swaim. “Nothing untoward or anything happened. Just eight years and nine months serving on the council. I’m ready to move on to other challenges.”
His resignation letter said the choice was made “after prayerful consideration.”
“I appreciate the support from the staff, Craig Allebach and Jim Lancaster, in particular, and the relationships I’ve built in the last eight to nine years,” said Swaim.
A caucus to fill the position has not yet been scheduled.
