Richard Cameron Ackley, 83, Columbia City, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024.

He was born March 20, 1941. His wife, Katherine “Kathy” (Mitchell) Ackley, whom he married Jan. 9, 1988, survives.

He also is survived by children, Robin (Terry) Ackley-Fay and Jon Ackley; stepchildren, Heather Schilling, Laurel (Gianni) Yahi and Jeremy (Jenni) White; six grandchildren; and brother, Stuart (Kandy) Ackley.

DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, Columbia City, is handling arrangements.
