Indiana McDonald’s To Donate 10% Of Digital Sales To Local High School Athletics
News Release
CHICAGO — McDonald’s owner/operators throughout Indiana, southwest Michigan and southeast Illinois will be raising funds for 177 local high school athletic programs, including programs at Warsaw Community High School, Wawasee High School and many other schools in the region.
Each locally owned McDonald’s restaurant has chosen a high school in their community to donate 10 percent of all digital sales on Wednesday, Oct. 2. Each identified high school will receive a minimum of $250.
In addition to Warsaw and Wawasee high schools, other schools in the region that could benefit include: Argos Community Junior-Senior High School, Bremen Senior High School, Churubusco Junior-Senior High School, Columbia City High School, East Noble High School, Elkhart High School, Fairfield Junior-Senior High School, Goshen High School, Jimtown High School, Laville Junior-Senior High School, NorthWood High School, Northridge High School, Plymouth High School, Rochester Community High School, Triton Central High School, Wabash High School and Winamac Community High School.
This year marks the first time Indiana operators are hosting a High School Sports Digital Fundraiser. McDonald’s owner/operators in Ohio were the first to launch this type of fundraiser last year as a way to support high school athletics in the communities they serve.
“This is the first-time owner/operators throughout the state have come together on one day to show our support for athletics in the communities we serve,” said McDonald’s owner/operator Estephan Awad. “Our hope is that the local communities will come out to support their high schools and help us make the High School Sports Digital Fundraiser Day a success throughout the state.”
