WARSAW — Kosciusko County Officials are currently investigating a fatal All-Terrain Vehicle crash on the property of 1345 S. Ferguson Road, Warsaw. The crash involved an ATV and a single rider.

On Sept. 27, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies and emergency personnel responded Friday afternoon at 3:10 p.m. to calls of an ATV accident where both the ATV and rider were found in a pond. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and located a Suzuki 4-wheeler and a male partial submerged in the pond that was located on the property. Preliminary investigation determined the ATV was driving around the pond and for an unknown reason, drove off the grass portion of the property and into the pond.

The driver of the ATV, Thomas J. Bussell, 73, Warsaw, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner Tyler Huffer.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Lutheran EMS and Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation by the KCSO.
