GARY — A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a Gary man.

The Gary Police Department is investigating the disappearance of Charles James.

Charles James

He’s a 79-year-old Black male and is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 152 pounds and has gray hair with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing an unknown color shirt and blue jeans.

James was last seen at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024. He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
