SYRACUSE — Wawasee High School students have been celebrating homecoming week with various dress-up theme days this week. But the fun doesn’t stop with dressing up for school.
The boys and members of Wawasee’s football team will act as coaches and cheer squad. The public is welcome to watch.
There’s still time to be part of the homecoming parade. Staging will be at Polar Kraft with the parade stepping off at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27.
The parade will come up Chicago Street through the high school parking lot and ending in the parking lot at Syracuse Elementary School.
There will be an alumni tent set up in the parking lot before the home football game offering light refreshments to all alumni. Members of the classes of 1975 and 2000 may pick up a special gift, a magnet or pin, made by members of the student council.
The homecoming king and queen will be named at half time during the game against the Goshen RedHawks.

Shown are the candidates for homecoming prince and princess. From left are Hailey Panelli, Jack Shoemaker, Reese Beasley, Josiah Jones, Heather Lynn Holder and Andrew Waugh. The prince and princess will be announced at Friday night’s football game.
