More single-family housing available in Milford
News Release
MILFORD — Additional single-family homes are now available in the new Eastfield housing development in Milford.
The Eastfield housing development is situated in the northern part of the county on a 20-acre site off 1250 N. Syracuse St., Milford, next to the North Park neighborhood. Four homes are completed and available for sale, with two homes already sold. Custom designed homes are also an option.
Development is led by Goshen-based Miller Brothers Builders. When completed, the development will include 52 single-family units, both single and two-story, with sizes starting at 1,200 square feet. Most units will include three bedrooms and two baths.
“This development provides the opportunity for families to reside in a quiet, rural part of the county while remaining close to amenities, with SR 15 nearby,” says KEDCO CEO Peggy Friday. “And it’s an ideal option for those working in the northern part of the county looking to reduce their commute.”
The Eastfield housing project began as part of an effort to bring more market-rate housing to the community. A housing-needs study and strategy commissioned by the City of Warsaw, Kosciusko County, the Kosciusko County Community Foundation, in partnership with the Housing Resource Hub, showed market potential for more than 2,000 new residential units throughout the county by 2024. Data from the study highlighted a specific need for housing that reduces commuting from outside the county, with a goal of growing the local workforce.
The Eastfield housing development is a short drive from Milford Elementary School, with a new facility opening for the 2026-2027 school year, and just 10-15 minutes from Wawasee High School. Additional nearby amenities include: Walmart, Meijer, Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital, Parkview Hospital (17 to 21 minutes), and it’s a 10-minute drive to Owen’s Meat Market in Leesburg.
Eastfield offers a country setting with the added benefits of city water and sewer, trash pickup, and fiber internet.
