Helen Louise (Gilbert) Bowman, 92, Wabash, a native of South Whitley, died at 11:44 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at Bickford of Wabash, Wabash.

She was born April 5, 1932. On June 7, 1953, she married Roland “Sam” Bowman, who preceded her in death in 2005.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Sally) Bowman, Peru; two daughters, Glendus (Kirk Kalbfleisch) Dowell, Kalispell, Mont., and Christina Bowman, Madison; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Gilbert; seven sisters, Elouise Bolinger, Frances Cottrell, Doris Krider, Wanda Stover, Norma Jean Hogan, Gyneth Kethcart and Patricia Foy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash, is handling arrangements.
