Jorge De La Rosa Hinojo — UPDATED
Jorge De La Rosa Hinojo, of Warsaw, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on April 23, 1960, in Ejido El Tanque de los Jiménez, Aguascalientes, Jorge led a life that was characterized by his unwavering commitment to his family and his passions.
Throughout his career, Jorge worked at Smoker Craft in New Paris, where he took great pride in his role as a boat buffer. His meticulous nature and devoted work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and those whom he served.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Jorge had various hobbies and interests that brought him joy. A passionate Dodgers baseball fan, he spent many hours watching games alongside his loved ones. He also enjoyed watching Univision and Mexican news, staying connected to his roots. Every year, Jorge made the trip to visit family in Mexico, which was a cherished tradition for him. He had a fondness for eating flautas and relishing a cold Coca-Cola, simple pleasures that brought him great happiness.
Jorge’s family was the heartbeat of his existence. He is survived by his wife, Elisa De La Rosa; children, Isabel De La Rosa, Georgina Gomora, Valeria De La Rosa Hinojo, Alejandra De La Rosa Hinojo and Jorge De La Rosa Jr.; his grandchildren, Canek Valadez, Gaddiel Valadez, Obani Valadez, Milano Navor, Remi Navor, Iker Gomora, Rogelio Gomora, Max Gomora, Mila Peńaloza, Amaya Carias and Jorge Tadeo Ruiz; his mother, Evangelina Hinojo Lopez; and his siblings, Esperanza, Ramiro, Santiago, Norberto, Armando, Guadalupe, Jose Isabel, Evangelina and Lorena. He is preceded in passing by his father, J. Guadalupe De La Rosa Diaz.
Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with Jorge’s care. A visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at the funeral home, 2000 Sheridan St. Warsaw. The funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 225 Gilliam Drive, Warsaw, with a visitation starting an hour prior. The family invites all those who knew and loved Jorge to come together to celebrate his life and share in the memories that he left behind.
