MILFORD — This month’s Food Truck Friday is bringing the past back to downtown Milford. The theme, “Throwback School Spirit,” has residents walking around in side ponytails and neon eyeshadow.
“Every year we try to do a school spirit Food Truck Friday, so we were trying to make it original,” explained Tricia Gall, Milford’s clerk-treasurer and member of Meet Milford. “School spirit’s just boring by itself, so we were trying to jazz it up a little bit so people can participate and have some fun with us.”
In addition to the usual array of food trucks, including Pinyo’s Kitchen, Island Flavor, Perfect Twist Pretzels and more, Fairfield Cosmetology has also set up shop to give guests free 80s-style makeovers and there are snap bracelets available to decorate. Live music from Beez and the Rocker is setting a soundtrack for everyone’s good time.
The festivities continue until 8 p.m. tonight.
