Giles Lee Neer, 67, a native of Warsaw and formerly of rural Akron, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024, in Tampa, Fla.

He was born Oct. 13, 1956. His wife, Jennifer Maria (Hanson) Neer, whom he married March 15, 1975, preceded him in death in 2024.

He is survived by seven children, Joshua “Joshy” (Robert), Joseph “Joey,” John “Johnny,” Victoria “Tori” (Roger), Teri “Binky” (Claudio), Jacob “Jakey” (Tera) and Rachel “Baby”; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Chris (Gamze); and extended family and friends.

Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, is handling arrangements.
