Terri L. Garrard

Terri Garrard
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Terri Lee Garrard, who left us at the age of 59. She passed away on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, at her residence in Peru. She was formerly of Warsaw and lived part her life in Hobart and Alton, Ill., and most recently in Peru. No matter where the Lord placed her, she made it her home and those near her became her family.
She was born on Aug. 27, 1965, in Hobart, to Patricia and Larry Garrard. Terri was a vibrant soul whose love for comic books and karaoke brought joy to everyone around her. Her passion for these hobbies was infectious, and she could often be found immersed in the latest comic book adventures or belting out her favorite tunes at karaoke nights.
Terri was bilingual, a skill that allowed her to connect with a diverse range of people. Her charming autism gave her a unique perspective on life, and she had a delightful habit of giving pop culture nicknames to all her acquaintances, making everyone feel special and seen. Terri’s presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her legacy of joy, creativity and connection will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
She will forever be remembered by her extended family who loved and cared for her, Joyce, Stacy, Tim, Jerry, Adrena and, of course, her cat named Precious. Rest in peace, Terri. Your light will continue to shine in our memories.
Terri’s life will be celebrated with a service at noon Monday, Sept. 16, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 10 a.m. until noon.
Memorial donations in Terri’s memory may be directed to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, 1048 S. 325E, Pierceton, IN 46562.
