Casasola Arrested For Allegedly Battering Woman

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested for allegedly battering a woman.
Ivan Casasola, 30, 2441 W. 250S Lot 64, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury and domestic battery with a child under 16 present, both level 6 felonies; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Aug. 29, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a welfare check at a residence. A person said a woman who was bleeding knocked on his front door and said she was being chased.
Upon arrival, deputies saw the woman had bruises all over her face, lacerations to her nose and lip, and a scratch on her leg.
The woman told deputies she had an argument with Casasola, which escalated when Casasola allegedly lunged at the woman and hit her with a closed fist several times. The woman bit Casasola’s finger to stop him and escaped through a window. Two children were present during the altercation.
Casasola told deputies he had a verbal argument with the woman and said she bit his finger and would not stop biting him. He said he hit the woman a few times to get away from her.
Casasola was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Aug. 29.
