Nearly 100 Boats Join Patriotic Tippy Boat Parade

LEESBURG — Around 100 boats joined a community-organized patriotic boat parade on Lake Tippecanoe for Labor Day.
At 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, boaters and jet-skiers gathered at Oswego Lake and cruised at approximately 8 miles per hour around the perimeter of Big Tippy.
Boaters wore red, white and blue and played a mix of patriotic music and classic summer jams. Boats were decorated with flags, streamers and balloons.
Other Tippy Lake residents gathered on piers and watched the boats go by.
