MILFORD — In the spirit of Food Truck Friday’s August theme, “Not All Heroes Wear Capes,” Meet Milford has invited local public service members to interact with the community — and don’t forget the big vehicles. A fire truck, ambulance, school bus and crane are all available at the special touch-a-truck event, happening now in downtown Milford.
“Heroes, that’s your EMS, bus drivers, your fire guys, anyone who provides a public service to the community,” said Meet Milford’s Sierra Clark-Kern.
In addition, attendees can decorate their own free capes and masks to wear during the festivities. As always, there is a wide variety of food trucks to choose from, including Pinyo’s Kitchen, Perfect Twist Pretzels, Hay Huey, the Rooted Spud and many more.
Local organizations also come out to represent themselves at Food Truck Friday. Guests can learn about the Van Buren Township Food Pantry at Milford First Brethren Church, or enter the Milford Lions Club gun raffle to raise money for next year’s Milford Fest, to name a few.
Food Truck Friday continues until 8 p.m. tonight.
