Mary Jean Carpenter, 84, Wabash, died at 5:46 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, at Parkview Wabash Hospital.

She was born May 31, 1940. On April 2, 1961, she married Edwin Carpenter, who survives.

She also is survived by two children, Brad (Janet) Carpenter, LaFontaine, and Jackie (Scott) Long, Wabash; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
