Whitko Staff Gathers To Kick Off New School Year

SOUTH WHITLEY — Whitko Community Schools staff got into the spirit of the new school year with the annual Welcome Back Breakfast and Benefits Fair.
The event was held Thursday, Aug. 8, at Whitko Junior-Senior High School, the day before students returned to their classrooms for the new school year.
The morning included visits with community, financial, social and support organizations. The afternoon was used to prepare classrooms and other spaces for the students’ first day.
Tom Edington, interim superintendent, addressed the staff. Also on hand was motivational speaker Jon Acton, author of “Broken Shells, a Perfektly Imperfekt Journey Through Cancer, Leadership and Love.”
