Syracuse Accident Tailspins SUV Into Ditch — UPDATE

A two vehicle collision occurred around noon today, Friday, Aug. 9, in Syracuse. Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to disabling damage. Damage is up to $25,000.

The white Honda Accord sustained most of the accidental damage.
SYRACUSE — At approximately noon today, Friday, Aug. 9, a two vehicle collision left a black Ford Edge in a nearby ditch. The accident occurred mere yards away from the intersection of South Huntington Street and South Sycamore Street, Syracuse.
A white Honda Accord, driven by Cathy Northrup, 75, North Syracuse-Webster Road Syracuse, was struck by the Edge, driven by Jolene Cripe, 53, North Kalorama Road, Syracuse, and tailspinning it into the nearby grassy ditch.
Cripe was attempting to make a south bound turn onto South Huntington Street from the access road that runs along South Huntington Street. Northrup was driving north on South Huntington Street before the collision.
Turkey Creek Fire Territory and EMS along with officers from the Syracuse Police Department responded to the call. Northrup was transported to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital for complaints of neck and back pain.
Both vehicles were towed due to disabling damage. Damage up to $25,000.
