Warsaw Man Arrested For Domestic Battery, Criminal Mischief

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested for allegedly battering a woman and causing damage inside a home.
Channing Mykel Kruse, 32, 804 Northside Drive, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery and criminal mischief, both class A misdemeanors; and domestic battery with a prior conviction, a level 6 felony.
On June 29, a Warsaw Police officer responded to a domestic complaint. A woman said she, Kruse, and a friend went to a residence when Kruse began acting strange.
According to court documents, the woman said Kruse was being domineering toward two dogs. When the woman told him to stop, Kruse pushed the woman to the floor and began throwing items in the residence’s living room. The friend witnessed Kruse push the woman.
The damage Kruse caused was in excess of $750, with multiple pieces of furniture being turned over and a coat rack breaking a front window.
Kruse was previously convicted of battery in Kosciusko County in March 2022.
Kruse was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Aug. 5.
