Two From Rochester Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide In Fulton County

ROCHESTER — Two people from Rochester are dead after an apparent murder-suicide in Fulton County.
Around 11 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, officers from the Rochester Police Department conducted a welfare check on the occupants of a vehicle parked in front of the department. This vehicle had been there for some time.
According to information from RPD, upon approaching the vehicle, officers discovered the vehicle’s two occupants were both deceased, each suffering from what appeared to be fatal gunshot wounds. During the course of the investigation, officers found one firearm inside the vehicle.
The victims have been identified as Heidi Prince, 42; and Keith Parsons, 49, both of Rochester. Evidence collected and gathered during this investigation preliminarily indicates Parsons fatally shot Prince before taking his own life. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further details are being released at this time. RPD was assisted in the investigation by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, Fulton County Coroner’s Office, Lutheran EMS, and Rochester Fire Department.
