Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 3:35 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 900 block West Monoquet Road, Warsaw. Driver: Clifford A. Clevenger, 78, Pierceton. Clevenger stated another vehicle entered his lane, and he drove off the roadway to avoid a collision, hitting a mailbox. Damage up to $5,000.
• 5:35 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, South SR 19 and West CR 950S, Mentone. Driver: Robert L. Scott, 59, Tippecanoe. Scott stated another vehicle entered the roadway from West CR 950S, so he drove off the roadway to avoid a collision, hitting a fiber optic cable plastic pole. Damage up to $10,000.
• 2:40 p.m. Monday, July 29, SR 15 and CR 400N, Warsaw. Drivers: Danny Decloedt, 60, South Bend; and Elizabeth S. McGuire, 27, Leesburg. Decloedt’s vehicle failed to yield, rear ending McGuire’s vehicle as it stopped to turn. Damage up to $50,000.
• 4:25 p.m. Thursday, July 25, CR 1000, Sevastopol. Drivers: Michael Gotier, 65, Akron; and Jamison P. Phillips, 16, Silver Lake. Gotier’s vehicle was crossing the intersection and failed to yield to Phillips’s vehicle traveling northbound. Damage up to $25,000.
