Warsaw Man Arrested For OWI

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence.
Bryan Misael Alonso Rivera, 27, 3699 N. 175E Lot 166, Warsaw, is charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a class C misdemeanor; driving while suspended prior, a class A misdemeanor; and operating a vehicle with an ACE of 0.08 or more with a prior conviction, a level 6 felony.
On June 20, a Warsaw Police officer received a report about two vehicles ramming each other. The officer spoke with one of the vehicle’s owners, later identified as Rivera, and noticed he was exhibiting physical signs of intoxication.
According to court documents, Rivera said he was driving when his vehicle hit a street sign and utility pole. The officer also learned Rivera’s driving status was suspended prior.
The driver of the second vehicle said she attempted to push Rivera’s vehicle off the roadway with her vehicle.
Rivera refused to participated in field sobriety tests. He registered 0.14% BrAC on a portable breath test.
Rivera was previously convicted of OWI in Kosciusko County in July 2020. He also has three indefinite suspensions on his driving record and a prior judgment for driving while suspended.
Rivera has already been arrested and released on bond.
