Warsaw Woman Arrested On Drug Charges

PIERCETON — A Warsaw woman was arrested after officers completed a welfare check and found drugs in a vehicle.
Tana Marie Clem, 31, Warsaw, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor; and possession of methamphetamine, a level 5 felony.
On July 3, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a welfare check at a gas station in Pierceton. The deputy learned Clem fell asleep in a vehicle while at a gas pump.
According to court documents, a K9 unit alerted to illegal substances in Clem’s vehicle. Upon searching Clem’s vehicle, officers found drug paraphernalia and meth.
Clem admitted to using a digital scale inside her vehicle to verify the weight of meth she purchased.
Clem was previously convicted of dealing meth in Kosciusko County in August 2018.
Clem has already been arrested and released on her own recognizance. She has an initial hearing at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, in Kosciusko Circuit Court.
