Akron Man Seriously Injured In Single-Vehicle Crash

AKRON — An Akron man was seriously injured after a single-vehicle accident in Fulton County on Thursday night.
Around 11:02 p.m. Thursday, July 25, emergency personnel responded to an accident involving Dakota Prater, 33, Akron. Prater was traveling in the 1000 block of South SR 19, near Akron, when, for an unknown reason, he overcorrected his vehicle.
Prater was traveling at a high speed and his side-by-side utility vehicle collided with a tree. The vehicle spun, rolled and ejected Prater from the vehicle. Prater was not wearing a helmet or seatbelt.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. Prater was airlifted by a Samartian helicopter for his injuries. His current condition is unknown at this time.
Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors to the accident.
