IU Health To Construct $421M Hospital In Fort Wayne
News Release
INDIANA — Indiana University Health has recently unveiled its plans to construct a $421 million hospital based in Fort Wayne. The new hospital project was approved by the board of directors during June’s board meeting. The new hospital is expected to be able to employ nearly 500 Hoosiers when completed.
The hospital plans include 140 patient beds, 17 emergency exam rooms, six operating rooms, three catheterization labs for advanced cardiac procedures and up to four endoscopy rooms for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The building will be five stories tall and will be located on Lower Huntington Road, by Airport Expressway and I-69.
Prep work on the site has already begun and project officials project the hospital will welcome its first patients mid-2027.
