Pettiet Arrested For Allegedly Battering Woman

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested for allegedly battering a woman.
Dylan Alexander Pettiet, 30, 812 E. Fort Wayne St., Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery committed in the presence of a child and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, both level 6 felonies; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On June 29, a woman said she was battered by Pettiet in Warsaw.
According to court documents, the woman said Pettiet threw a television across a room and yelled at her. When the woman grabbed her cellphone, Pettiet attempted to take the phone and broke the woman’s thumbnail.
As the incident continued, the woman said Pettiet shoved her and pinned her to a bed while attempting to flip the mattress on top of her. A child was present during the altercation.
Pettiet told Warsaw Police officers he argued a lot with the woman but did not physically harm her.
Pettiet has already been arrested and released on bond.
