Joey Criswell
Joseph Luis “Joey” Criswell, age 44, of Milford, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 29, 2024, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born on April 11, 1980, the son of Jose Luis Cervantes and Deborah (Farr) Criswell, in Warsaw. On Sept. 30, 2016, he married Kimberly Flickinger.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Criswell, of Milford; seven children, Jose Criswell, Izaiah Criswell, Jesus Criswell, Katalaya Criswell, Amariana Criswell, Yandilee Criswell and Liam Criswell; four bonus children, Haley Chapman, Zoey Chapman, Cohen Chapman and Brantley Stewart; his mother, Deborah Criswell, of Milford; his father, Jose Cervantes, of Warsaw; older twin brothers, Armando Cervantes and Andres Cervantes, both of Warsaw; his twin brother, Tony Criswell, of Syracuse; his sister, Margarita Criswell, of Milford; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Joey graduated from Wawasee High School in 1998 and was a certified welder. Joey loved his children, bon fires with great music and being with his family. He was the life of the party with his infectious laugh and was a great friend to many. Above all, Joey was a follower of Jesus and loved sharing with anyone and everyone how Christ had turned his life around. On fire for Jesus, he devoted the last year of his life to ministry and sharing the Gospel.
A celebration of Joey’s life will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday July 13, 2024, at Mishler Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 461 W. 900N, Milford. Pastor John Baughman will officiate.
Family and friends will be received from 1-6 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
