D. Eugene DeMont, 77, South Bend, died Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Holy Cross Village at Notre Dame.

He was born Nov. 17, 1946, in Plymouth. In January 1967, he married Margo Taviner, who survives.

He also is survived by his daughters, Gwen Calvert and Brandi (James Maure) DeMont; two grandchildren; siblings, Edwin (Sharon) DeMont and Suzanne (Mark) Umbaugh; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth, is handling arrangements.
