Public Apology From Former Employee Of Cafe
Dear Editor,
My name is Elizabeth Poe. I am writing a public apology to my community for my actions and the impulsive decisions I’ve made.
In the fall of 2020, I was given the opportunity to be an employee of the Etna Green Cafe, which would later become a position held to a high standard and also a family business. The point of this public apology is to express my sincerity to the Stills family and community but also all the dedicated customers that I have served day after day while employed at the Etna Green Cafe.
Mr. Stills was the kind of owner and manager that would help any employee with whatever trials they face. I allowed my impulsive decisions to overcome my best judgment and use the company money for my own personal needs, which would total $20,000.
Since I lost my position in 2022, I’ve reflected back on my poor decisions. If I would have just admitted that I needed help with my struggles, Mr. Stills would have helped me just as he helped every employee and community member that asked for his help. I know that these decisions I made was not just cost effective but it plays a big part in how business owners make a difference in hiring people in society today.
