WARSAW — Looking for summer activities that are filled with excitement and imagination? The summer programs at Debra Collier’s School of Dance feature exhilarating dance camps along with six-week short summer sessions of Ballet, Line Dancing, Adult Tap, Hip Hop, Dancing for Birth and more!
From camps with the studio’s princess to workshops with a nationally known guest choreographer, the studio has something for everyone.
For more than two decades the studio’s summer dance camps have been a community favorite. This season’s camp themes include Barbie Dream Camp, Paw Patrol, Super Mario Bros., In My Sparkle Era and more!
Full descriptions, dates and details for the camps can be found on the studio’s website.
A Jazz and Choreography workshop is available for ages 8 and up, as well as a one-day Modern workshop.
“Summer provides a great opportunity for students to try different styles of dance during the short sessions”, explains DCSD owner Deb Collier.
This summer the studio is excited to announce a new opportunity, Ballet and Beyond. This unique class will introduce dancers to classic variations from famous ballets while developing their personal technique.
It will also incorporate ballet history, anatomy, injury prevention and so much more. The seven-week session will conclude with an exclusive Ballet Gala Performance where dancers will showcase all they have accomplished. DCSD’s summer Conditioning class is also expanding to include Acro Basics. Students will gain the strength and knowledge to use acro elements to enhance their dancing.
Continuing DCSD’s long history of providing opportunities for their students to learn from master teachers from across the country, Josh Manculich will be visiting as a guest instructor. His approachable nature brings an ease to his classes allowing the students to leave with renewed confidence and joy of movement.
