Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 5:46 p.m. Thursday, May 23, Anchorage Road, west of Anchorage Point Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Xavier Russell, 39, Glad Street, Warsaw; and Ashleigh D. Brabec, 28, East Main Street Apartment 3, Lead, South Dakota. Russell’s vehicle rear-ended Brabec’s. Damage up to $10,000.
- 12:35 p.m. Thursday, May 23, East Market Street, at the intersection of South Scott Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Douglas A. Satorius, 52, 13B Road, Culver; and Ivee L. Hobbs, 48, South Indiana Street, Warsaw. Satorius rear-ended Hobbs’ motorcycle, causing Hobbs to fall from the back of her vehicle and injure her shoulder. She was taken to a hospital for immediate medical attention. Damage under $1,000.
- 10:23 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 945 N. Parker St., Warsaw. Drivers: Stephanie M. Lewis, 30, South Main Street Apartment 2, Nappanee; and Haylee N. Mansbarger, 24, Pine Cone Lane, Warsaw. Lewis was backing her vehicle from a parking space when she hit Mansbarger’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 1:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 3575 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: unknown. A parked, unoccupied vehicle was hit by an unknown driver. Damage up to $5,000.
- 3:21 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, SR 15, at the intersection of Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Larry D. Guyer, 68, EMS D16 Lane, Syracuse; William T. Michael, 75, Parent Drive, Warsaw; Shepherd Goble, 77, Fox Farm Road, Warsaw; and Sherry L. Durflinger, 61, South Martin Street, Ligonier. Guyer said he was attempting to turn left onto Anchorage Road and had a flashing yellow arrow when he turned in front of Michael’s vehicle. This collision caused Guyer’s vehicle to hit Goble’s and Durflinger’s. A passenger in Guyer’s vehicle, Lynn G. Guyer, 69, Syracuse, had to be extricated from the vehicle. Lynn was taken to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital for right knee pain. Michael had multiple cuts on his left arm, and complained of shoulder and hip pain. He was taken to Parkview Warsaw for his injuries. Damage up to $50,000.
- 9:16 a.m. Saturday, May 18, West Main Street, at the intersection of South Lake Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kachelle M. Robinson, 25, North Deer Run, Warsaw; and Chelsea M. Rapp, 33, West Center Street, Warsaw. Robinson disregarded a red light at the Main and Lake Street intersection, hitting Rapp’s vehicle. Rapp complained of neck pain and said she believed she lost consciousness during the accident. She was taken to a local hospital. Damage up to $10,000.
