Ligonier Woman Arrested For Allowing Child To Host Underage Drinking Party

LIGONIER — A Ligonier woman was recently arrested for allegedly allowing a child to host an underage drinking party.
Laverda Jean Miller, 60, 11718 N. 500W, Ligonier, is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a class A misdemeanor.
On May 6, a Noble County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a 911 hang-up call near a Ligonier residence. The deputy went to the residence and saw multiple individuals under the age of 18 who appeared to be intoxicated.
According to court documents, Miller said she allowed a child at the residence to have a party but did not know the party became large.
Miller was booked in the Noble County Jail on May 5.
