Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 5 p.m. Monday, May 6, East CCR 450N and North CR 300E, Warsaw. Drivers: Jodie L. Nelson, 54, SR 19, Etna Green; and Alaina R. Schultz, 42, North CR 150E, Warsaw. Nelson’s vehicle hit Schultz’s in an intersection. Damages up to $5,000.
• 3:43 p.m. Monday, May 6, West SR 14 and South CR 700W, Silver Lake. Driver: Taylor R. Cormican, 21, East SR 14, Rochester. Cormican’s vehicle left the roadway, hit an embankment and rolled multiple times. Cormican complained of abdominal, foot and arm pain. Damages up to $25,000.
• 10:48 a.m. Monday, May 6, West CR 1350N and North CR 500W, Nappanee. Drivers: Diane Schmucker-Gonzales, 18, SR 331, Bourbon; and Wendell J. Miller, 27, CR 127, New Paris. Schmucker-Gonzales’s vehicle failed to yield the right of way to Miller’s vehicle. Miller’s vehicle swerved right to avoid a collision, entered a ditch and collided with an underground culvert. Miller’s trailer hit Schmucker-Gonzales’s vehicle. Miller complained of lower back pain. Damages up to $50,000.
• 3:12 p.m. Sunday, May 5, East CR 250S; and Pequignot Drive, Pierceton. Drivers: Scotty L. Jarrell, 38, East CR 250S, Pierceton; and Bobby W. Noblitt, 45, East US 30, Pierceton. Jarrell’s vehicle was reversing from a driveway and was hit by Noblitt’s vehicle. Damages up to $5,000.
• 9:36 p.m. Saturday, May 4, East Pierceton Road and South CR 600E, Pierceton. Driver: Connor A. Green, 18, West CR 200N, Larwill. Green’s vehicle suffered a mechanical failure and exited the roadway through a ditch, collided with a utility pole and multiple fence posts. Green had minor abrasions on his left and right forearms. Damages up to $25,000.
• 7:55 p.m. Friday, May 3, 8300 block South SR 19, Akron. Drivers: Megan J. Ramsey, 35, East CR 300S, Akron; and Harry D. Caudill, 41, West CR 1150S, Silver Lake. Ramsey’s vehicle rear ended Caudill’s vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.
