Danny Pischke
Danny Lee Pischke, known to most as “Danny,” passed away at his home in Cromwell on Sunday, April 21, 2024. He was born in Goshen on May 11, 1959, to Kenneth and Donna (Reed) Pischke. Danny spent most of his professional years as a truck driver and was also proud to have owned his own company at one time — MTL Transport.
Growing up in the Syracuse area, Danny attended school at Wawasee. He had a reputation for being stubborn and having no filter when it came to telling things like they were. His hobbies included fishing, camping, working on engines and trying his luck at the casino. Danny rarely knew a stranger. He loved his dog, Drama, who passed away recently. Also preceding him in passing are his parents, Kenneth and Donna Pischke; a wife, Linda Pischke; and his in-laws, Clair and Phyllis Archer.
Those who survive with memories of Danny include: his loving wife, Teri Coverstone; and his children, Daniel (Cat) Shafer, of Arkansas, Denny (Latasha) Pischke, of Arkansas, Tina (Tim) Gable, of South Whitley, David (Christina) Altimus, of Wawaka, Keesha (Crick) Reed, of Kendallville, Jennifer Herrick, of Syracuse, and Dusty (Eric) Pischke, of Kendallville. He is also survived by two sisters, Annette Ratcliff and Ellenora (Sara Wood) Young; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Denny Archer.
Services celebrating Danny’s life will be held at Titus Funeral Home in Syracuse, 1001 S. Huntington St. Visitation will take place from 3-6 p.m. Friday, April 26, followed by a funeral service beginning at 6 o’clock.
