Warsaw High School Theatre Department Performing “Into The Woods” This Weekend
Press Release
WARSAW — Warsaw Community High School’s Select Theatre program is performing its spring musical, “Into the Woods,” from April 25 to 28.
Performances are taking place at the WCHS Black Box Theatre, located inside the Performing Arts Center.
“Into the Woods” combines the iconic stories of Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, and others, with a new adventure involving a baker and his wife who wish to start a family. This witty and powerfully touching musical explores the themes of desire, responsibility, and the consequences that come with the choices we make.
This rendition of “Into the Woods” is set to be a vibrant and imaginative theatrical experience, performed in a smaller and more quaint setting with audience seating on three sides of the stage. The production boasts a talented cast and crew of students, unique sets, and stunning costumes that promise to bring the magic and spectacle of Broadway to Warsaw.
“‘Into the Woods’ is a challenging musical that our students have approached with incredible passion and dedication,” said Director Melany Morris. “It’s a complex tapestry of beloved fairy tales that resonate with audiences of all ages, and we are excited to bring our unique interpretation to the community.”
Performances will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, through Saturday, April 27. Matinee performances will also take place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, and Sunday, April 28. Tickets are priced at $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
