Area Police Reports
Elkhart County
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following incident:
- 5:31 a.m. Monday, April 22, CR 150 and CR 7, Nappanee. Crystal Yoder, 42, reported that a semitrailer driven by an unknown person crashed into several NIPSCO owned power lines, damaged utility poles and transformers, then fled the scene.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incidents:
- 4:27 p.m Sunday, April 21, 1600 block Main Street, Rochester. A caller reported a theft from a vehicle.
- 10:12 a.m. Sunday, April 21, North US 31 and West Third Street, Rochester. A caller reported a reckless driver.
- 10:54 p.m. Saturday, April 20, East CR 300N and North SR 25, Rochester. A caller reported a loose railroad tie in the roadway.
- 4:35 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 400 block East Ninth Street, Rochester. A caller reported three juveniles were climbing on silos. An officer advised them they were not allowed to climb the silos.
- 2:52 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 10000 block East SR 14, Akron. A caller reported a cow in the road. The owners removed the cow from the road.
- 10:15 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 3000 block Northwest Lakeshore Drive, Macy. A caller reported property damage.
- 1:26 p.m. Friday, April 19, 3800 block North SR 25, Rochester. A caller reported trespassing cutting down trees.
- 8:55 a.m. Friday, April 19, South SR 25 and CR 150S, Rochester. A caller reported a reckless driver and a hit and run.
- 8:38 a.m. Friday, April 19, 9800 block West SR 110, Culver. A caller reported harassment.
- 7:44 a.m. Friday, April 19, 1500 block Elm Street, Rochester. A caller reported a suspicious vehicle.
- 3:38 a.m. Friday, April 19, West Olson Road and North CR 300W, Rochester. A caller reported cows in the roadway.
