SOUTH WHITLEY — Caylee Walls, a senior, works at Silveus Daycare through the Work-Based Learning program at Whitko Career Academy.

At the day care, Walls keeps a watchful eye on the children, ensuring they are in a safe, loving, fun and educational environment. She says she loves the bond and trust she’s created with the kids.

After graduation, Walls plans to pursue a career as an elementary school teacher. She says her experience at Silveus Daycare is giving her a glimpse of how it will be someday in her own classroom as she learns to juggle multiple personalities, needs and learning levels at the same time.
