COLUMBIA CITY — The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced the closure of SR 109 for culvert pipe replacements.

Starting on or after April 22, work will take place between US 30 and US 33. Work is expected to last for about three weeks. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.

During the closure, drivers should use the approved detour of US 33, SR 9 and US 30, or seek an alternate route.

INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when traveling in and around all work zones.
