North Webster Community Public Library — Now Offering Memory Care Kits For Checkout
News Release
NORTH WEBSTER — The North Webster Community Public Library has announced the launch of its new memory care kits, designed specifically for adults and senior adults, including those with memory care needs or dementia. These innovative kits aim to enhance cognitive abilities and provide engaging activities to stimulate the mind.
The memory care kits offered by NWCPL focus on improving memory and cognition while also targeting the development of fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, spatial reasoning and problem-solving abilities. Through these activities, users can reinforce the connections between brain cells, improve mental speed and enhance short-term memory.
Currently, NWCPL has two distinct kits available for checkout, catering to different interests and preferences. The first kit, centered around WWII history, includes a selection of board games, American trivia, a puzzle and a matching game. The second kit, the homemaker kit, comprises a book on faction, a baking cupboard activity, a Sew Fast game and paints for a creative expression.
Each memory care kit is available for checkout for a period of three weeks, allowing users ample time to explore and benefit from the activities provided. Whether individuals are seeking mental stimulation or caregivers are looking for engaging resources for their loved ones, these kits offer a valuable resource within the community.
